Mark P. Smith, P.A., B.C.S.

Mark P. Smith is one of two principal attorneys of Smith & Valentine Law, a Cape Coral-based private law practice specializing in personal injury and wrongful death, dog bites, car and motorcycle accidents, & slip and fall accidents.

He serves accident victims and clients from across Southwest Florida, including Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, North Fort Myers, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples and Marco Island.

Mark, a 25-year lawyer, is one of just two Cape Coral Board Certified Civil Trial Attorneys, according to The Florida Bar. This means that Smith & Valentine Law has demonstrated special knowledge, skills and proficiency in personal injury law, and professionalism and ethics in his practice. As a Board Certified Specialist (B.C.S.), Mark has attained the highest level of Florida Bar evaluation for competency and experience in personal injury law.

He holds court membership in the Supreme Court of the State of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. A member in good standing of Florida Bar since 1987, Mark Smith served as its Past President, Personal Injury Association (1993).

He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin in 1984 and a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 1980. In 1984 Mark Smith was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar. He received Board Certification in the area of Civil Trial by the Florida Bar in 1996.

Mark Smith has called Southwest Florida home for more than 20 years. He is married with four children, and gives back to the community through his involvement in local civic, charitable and church organizations.
